Atlanta-based country-rock group The Whiskey Gentry have announced an April 7th release date for their new album, Dead Ringer.
Anchored by the husband-and-wife team of Lauren Staley (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Jason Morrow (electric guitar, vocals), the sextet recorded Dead Ringer live in the same room, for the most part, at Echo Mountain Recording Studio in Asheville. Says Staley of their third album, “There’s an energy on this record that we’ve never captured before, and I think it was a complete game changer for our sound.”
The band will play dual shows celebrating Dead Ringer’s release – one at Atlanta’s Center Stage on release day, and the following night at the 40 Watt Club in Athens. Amid other Southeastern touring dates, they’ll also be at Sky City in Augusta on March 4th, and the Taste of Alpharetta festival on May 4th.
