Ludacris Is Not Afraid to “Call Ya Bluff”

The Atlanta rapper sends a message with his new album, 'Ludaversal'

There’s no lack of confidence or swagger throughout Ludaversal, the ninth album by Atlanta rapper Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and his first in five years. Determined to prove he’s still got game, the 37-year-old emcee declares in “Call Ya Bluff,” “Age ain’t nothing but a number, Luda rapping like he just turned 24 / Any rapper wanna forget who I am, every now and then I see em I gotta let em know.” To his credit, however, he gets personal and introspective on other cuts when taking on family, fame and the trappings of the music industry. Fellow Atlantans contributing to Ludaversal include Usher, Cee-Lo Green, Monica and producers Mike WiLL Made It, Rico Love, DJ Toomp, and Mel & Mus. Also in theaters now, Ludacris has a featured role in Furious 7, the fourth in the action franchise in which he has appeared.
