The centerpiece of the annual Little Five Points Halloween Festival & Parade is, of course, the wild, creative and unpredictable late afternoon procession down Euclid and Moreland Avenues.
But this is Little Five Points, one of Atlanta’s primary hubs for live music entertainment, so of course there’ll be an assortment of local acts blaring both before and after the 4 p.m. parade on Saturday, Oct. 17th.
The Wrecking Bar Brewpub Stage, located in the center of L5P in Findley Plaza, will host Doors tribute act The Dirty Doors, cheesy ‘80s metal songs done in the style of Michael McDonald courtesy Metal McDonald, classic country cover band Dry Gulch and veteran Atlanta twangers Caroline & the Ramblers immediately following the parade, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Prior to the parade, starting at noon, the same stage will kick off the festival with Russian Roulette, followed by Starbenders, Mystery Men? and Fleetwood Mac tribute act Rumours.
Meanwhile, over at the Star Bar, the Biters, just back from their eventful European tour, will headline the outdoor stage in their parking lot, along with The Coathangers, Midnight Larks, Easy Magick and Blackfoot Gypsies, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Food and beer vendors will be operating throughout Little Five Points for the duration of the free and well attended festival. Parking will be limited, so plan to take MARTA (with nearby rail stations in Inman Park and Candler Park) if at all possible.
