Atlanta rap radio station Hot 107.9 will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a weekend of concerts spotlighting the past, present and future of rap and hip hop music, crowned by a biggie on Saturday, June 20th at Philips Arena with Ludacris, Future, Migos, DJ Drama and more. Tickets range from $10.79 to $189. There’ll also be a free Birthday Bash Block Party that afternoon in Centennial Olympic Park, with performers to be announced.
On Friday, June 19th, a “Classic Throwback Concert” will be held at the Tabernacle with Atlanta stalwarts Ying Yang Twins, Young Joc, Little Scrappy and Pastor Troy, along with Texas’ Bun B, Florida’s 95 South and others. Ticket for that one range from $45 to $85.
Finally, a “Next to Go” concert will take place on Sunday, June 21st, featuring a lineup of up-and-coming rappers topped by Baton Rouge’s Kevin Gates and Patterson, New Jersey trap king Fetty Wap. Augusta’s TK-N-Cash and Atlanta acts Cool Amerika, Solo Lucci and Scotty ATL are also on the bill, with others expected to be added. The show is at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta’s Little Five Points . Tickets are $35.
